Whitney’s passion for designing our client’s perfect backyard started when she was a little girl in Santa Barbara. The daughter of an architect, she was inspired by her fathers’ ability to transform a blank piece of paper into a stunning structure that she could visit. This is when she knew she too would become a talented construction designer. Whitney believes there’s more to the perfect backyard than just the right pool, deck or spa, but it’s the creative blending of all these parts combined with her inspired use of the existing land that transforms a yard into a true living space. She prides herself on truly understanding the needs of our clients and being able to deliver on their expectations with thoughtful finishing touches that every client appreciates each time they step outside.
As a lifelong lover of the outdoors, she knows what we’re building is more than just a backyard, it’s a special place that brings together friends and families for special moments that epitomizes perfect living. From the initial consultation, Whitney loves to present all the possibilities that exist in our clients yards that they didn’t know even existed. She prides herself of being very fluid and adaptive to our clients needs, whether they knew exactly what they want or need inspiration from her, she always delivers.
Whitney began her design education by enrolling in the Revere Academy in San Francisco followed by GIA in San Diego. Whitney spent the next ten years as a highly sought-after jewelry designer famous for her unique, one-of-kind designs and her ability to take old jewelry and convert them into modern fashions. Her clients ranged from jewelry stores to celebrities, the ultra wealthy and high powered executives. She then turned her sights onto designing the perfect soft and hardscapes by joining our team. No matter the size of the space she can see its potential and can maximize its ability to be enjoyed. She has an affinity for mid-century modern designs and loves working in those communities that are filled with her work, such as Rancho Estates in Long Beach. She approaches every project with open ears and a wide imagination and she looks forward to one day designing your perfect backyard.
Like Whitney always says, “Give me your yard and I’ll make your dream”
